The master students from the Department of Construction of Buildings and Structures at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" successfully defended their diploma theses during the summer state examination session. Before an examination committee with the participation of teachers and representatives of professional practice, they presented engineering developments in the specialties Construction of Buildings and Structures, Water Supply and Sewerage and Fire and Emergency Safety.
The diploma projects in the
specialty Construction of Buildings and Structures impressed with complex solutions of reinforced concrete structures for modern multi-family residential buildings and large-scale public complexes. The developments were distinguished by precise calculations for seismic safety according to the Eurocodes and excellent implementation of digital design technologies.
The graduates of the
Water Supply and Sewerage specialty also performed strongly, defending innovative projects for building water supply and sewage systems of multi-family residential and public buildings. The emphasis in their developments was on optimising water resources, reducing losses and implementing environmentally friendly and safe solutions for wastewater and rainwater drainage.
The graduates of the
Fire and Emergency Safety specialty successfully defended their theses in the regular session. They demonstrated expertise in the design of specific and high-risk sites - high-rise residential buildings, hotels, manufacturing plants and large commercial sites with high fire risk. The projects proposed modern systems for fire alarm, fire extinguishing and safe evacuation.
The examination committee highly assessed the quality of the diploma theses and their practical applicability, taking into account the good professional preparation and readiness of the graduating engineers for employment in the construction sector.
