Master’s Students from Varna Free University Explored the Work of the European Institutions in Brussels

29 September 2026

Students from the Master’s programme in International Business Project Management visited Brussels from 21st to 25th September 2026 as part of a specialized educational programme designed to familiarize them with the work of the European Union’s main institutions.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work of the European Committee of the Regions, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Parliament, and the European Commission. At the European Parliament, they met with the team of the Member of the European Parliament Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Radev, attended a lecture on the institution’s structure and functioning, and visited the plenary chamber.

The programme also included visits to the Parlamentarium and Experience Europe, as well as a meeting at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Union with Ambassador Rumen Alexandrov, focusing on the work and current priorities of the Bulgarian representation.
The visit provided the students with a valuable opportunity to connect the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies with the realities of the institutional and international environment, while broadening their understanding of European governance mechanisms and international project cooperation. The participants received official certificates upon completion of the programme.

Yonka Dyulgerova - Master’s student in International and Business Project Management:
I am delighted to share my impressions of the internship at the European institutions in Brussels, which took place from 21st to 25th September 2026. The meaningful meetings and conversations, as well as the exchange of experience and ideas with people from various institutions, will remain a lasting memory for me. I am extremely pleased with the experience and with everything I had the opportunity to learn. The opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work of the institutions provided me with valuable information and practical guidance for my future development. The excellent organization of the programme was carefully structured and scheduled so as not to make the experience demanding for the participants; quite the opposite - the time simply flew by.
In addition to the professional experience, I am incredibly happy about the new connections I made. I had the pleasure of meeting some truly remarkable people who inspired me and made this experience unforgettable.

Jasper Onyiekachukwu Chukwuma – graduate of the Master’s programme in International and Business Project Management
