What is the role of the financial manager in the organization, how is the connection of the staff with the top management of the company implemented, what is the cost of investing in knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for a successful career in business and the banking sector? All these issues were discussed by the students majoring in the master's degree programme in Financial and Banking Management and Marketing during the lectures led by Assoc. Prof. Virginia Ivanova, PhD and the practising expert Plamena Gospodinova.
The interest of the master’s students in the topics "Financial and Banking Management" and "Mergers and Takeovers in the International Business of Companies and Banks" was extremely high. The role of the financial managers, consultants and auditors in the course of decision-making and execution of mergers and takeovers in the company and banking practice, the integration of the business of the merged organizations was commented.
The students' attention was also provoked by the topic of their future careers in the field of finance and banking.
