International trainers meeting under the Leadership Grid Program
International trainers meeting under the Leadership Grid Program in Europe took place on 9 and 10 May, 2014 in Cologne, Germany. Assoc. Prof. Miglena Temelkova, PhD - lecturer at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" participated in it. She is the only Bulgarian certified by Grid - Germany and entitled to train leaders under this globally approved methodology. Assoc. Prof. Temelkova, PhD delivered a lecture on the specific features of the Bulgarian mentality, which facilitates or hinders the upgrading of the leadership abilities of the Bulgarians, and on the leadership training in Bulgaria. In her exposé, she reminded that Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the only university in the country to conduct training based on the Grid methods.
The meeting was attended by over 30 representatives of the German business and Grid trainers from Russia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. The workshop of leaders trainers in Europe is the result of the need to improve not only the theory of leadership, but also the mechanisms by which to effectively develop future leaders in business, politics and public life.
The training in leadership in the coming years will be based on a new integrated concept oriented towards people, the outcome and the corporate culture. These three axes will be the base on which the leadership training at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will be carried out. The Master’s program "Leadership in a global environment" is dynamic 18-month training conforming to the latest concepts of the Grid methods.
As a result of the meeting, it was specified the time of the visit to Bulgaria of one of the key figures in the field of leadership, Prof. Anatoly Tsankovski - member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He will participate with a paper in the International Scientific Conference on Applied Psychology - Opportunities and Perspectives, which will be held at Varna Free University from 20 -22 June, 2014. Prof. Tsankovski will deliver a lecture to students of the Masters program "Leadership in a global environment."
