Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" hosted the final round of the National Informatics Olympiad for students 2014. The event has been organized with the support of the Regional Inspectorate of Education in Varna. To participate in the Olympiad 101 students of 23 schools from 11 towns have been classified.
The participants were divided into groups A, B, C, D, E, as in group A the oldest students participated and in group E – the youngest ones.
Here are the winners in the various categories:
• In category A: Hristo Venev, Encho Mishinev, Momchil Peychev
• In category B: Anton Chernev, Daniel Atanasov, Radostin Chonev
• In category D: Dimitar Chakarov, Alexander Radoslavov, Martin Dimitrov
• In category E: Zahari Marinov, Yordan Iliev, Mattew Mashkov
Hristo Venev from Sofia became a winner and leader of the national informatics team. The program of the event also includes training of team leaders and invigilators, certification of students in programming with ECTS credits from the university and meetings with IT-companies, partners of the Department of Informatics.
