NATIONAL STUDENT HACKATHON "GIS AND CLIMATE: SOLUTIONS FOR THE FUTURE", WHICH THIS YEAR IS ON THE THEME: "DYNAMIC GEOGRAPHY AND NATURAL DISASTERS: MORE GEO DATA AND INFORMATION FOR BETTER SOLUTIONS"

The competition is open to teams of 2 to 5 people – Bulgarian students studying in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes.
Participants will:
compete for prizes of up to 1500 euros;
apply for funding of up to 500 euros for the implementation of project proposals;
work with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online;
receive mentoring support from established experts.
The awarded projects will be presented during the World GIS Day on 18 November 2026 in Sofia - the largest event in this field in our country.
Extended deadline for applying for the hackathon: 14 July 2026
Deadline for project implementation: 15 October 2026
