NEARLY 400 GRADUATES WILL RECEIVE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION DIPLOMAS

The academic leadership of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will present the higher education diplomas to the graduates of Class'2022 at solemn ceremonies that will be held on 11 November 2022 in the Aula Maxima of the University in Varna and on 13 November 2022 in the Smolyan Branch. Nearly 400 students graduated in the educational qualification degrees Bachelor and Master. Since the establishment of the university in 1991 until today, VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" has been the Alma Mater of nearly 43,000 students.

12 are the top of the class. They will receive diplomas and awards from Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Nedyalkov, PhD - President of Varna Free University. Stela Radkova graduated with a grade of 5.83 in Business Administration and Management. She will deliver a salutation on behalf of the graduates during the ceremony. Stela has represented Varna Free University worthily in the national mediation competitions.

Temirtay Izbastin, PhD - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria, will be conferred the title Doctor Honoris Causa of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The Academic Council of Varna Free University awards the honorary title for the contribution and commitment of the diplomat in the process of internationalization of the educational and research activities of the VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", for the confirmation of active partnerships with academic institutions from the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for creating an environment, supporting the development of young people in both countries.

VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" has long-standing traditions in the education of students and doctoral students from Kazakhstan. The university works with a number of higher education institutions in the Asian country, among which are Turan Universities in Astana and Almaty, and the Taraz International Innovation Institute. Still in the first years after the establishment of the university, more than 50 students from Kazakhstan defended their bachelor's degree, and subsequently completed master's programmes. In the last eight years, more than 40 Kazakhs chose Varna Free University for the educational and scientific degree Doctor, and two defended the degree Doctor of Sciences. Currently, 18 doctoral students from Kazakhstan are enrolled at the university. The young scientists are in the professional areas of Law, Economics and Administration and Management. The Department of Economics at the Faculty of International Economics and Administration trains lecturers from the International Taraz Innovation Institute under the Leadership in Higher Education Management programme. Two winners of the prestigious international government scholarship Bolashak also work in the department.
