NEW ASSISTANT PROFESSORS JOINED THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY

Since the beginning of the new academic year, the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Social, Economic and Computer Sciences of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has been joined by three new assistant professors - Alexander Ivanov, Plamen Popov and Sevdalina Petrova.

Alexander Ivanov holds a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology from Varna Free University and a master's degree in educational management from the Veliko Tarnovo University "St Cyril and St Methodius". He is certified as a mediator and career consultant, with research interests in the field of pedagogical and social psychology, as well as an author of papers and reports from scientific conferences.

Plamen Popov is a PhD student in psychology at Varna Free University, a master's degree in psychological counseling and a master's degree in navigation engineering from "N. Y. Vaptsarov" Naval School. His scientific interests are in the field of consulting psychology, psychophysiology, clinical psychology and integrative psychotherapy. He is a qualified consultant and therapist, author of scientific publications and participant in scientific forums.

Sevdalina Petrova is a PhD student at the Department of Psychology of Varna Free University and a Master of Science in Psychology and Developmental Psychopathology. She works in the field of counseling children and adolescents and researches the development of children with multiple disabilities. She is the author of scientific publications and a participant in conferences dedicated to the problems of child development.

The Department of Psychology is an established academic unit with a long tradition in education and research in the field of psychology. Established in 2010, it prepares specialists with high professional competence who are successful in various spheres of public life. With the addition of the new assistant professors, the Department of Psychology continues to develop its potential for academic growth and to create an environment in which knowledge and scientific curiosity become the basis of professional development.
