Education is one of the most important areas of cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, said the Ambassador of the Caspian state at his meeting with the President of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", Prof. D.Sc. Anna Nedyalkova and the Academic Board.

Under development is an agreement  between the Ministries of Education of  Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, which will  regulate  student exchange at state level.  This is a  very important document, but at  the same  time we attach great  importance to the  development of direct  relations between the  universities of the  two countries, also said  Ambassador  Karimov. He thanked for the  warm,  friendly welcome and the greeting  delivered in his native language.

His Excellency Emil Karimov spoke highly of Varna Free University and committed himself to mediate in establishing contacts between VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and universities in Azerbaijan.

During his visit, topics of mutual interest related to the opportunities that the University offers for training to foreign students were discussed, as well as various forms of inter-academic cooperation. The guest was introduced to the Summer School project of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation with Azerbaijan as a partner country in the Erasmus + and Horizon 2020. Earlier today, the guest also looked around the training facilities of the university and visited the Russian Centre.

At the end of his visit, His Excellency Ambassador Karimov once again thanked for the warm reception and invited the President of Varna Free University, Prof. D.Sc. Anna Nedyalkova and the Academic Board to visit Azerbaijan.
