
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viktor Petkov, lecturer in Graphic Design at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar,” will present his original interpretations in the “Chaiki Art” platform during the third edition of the
Chaiki Festival. The event, organized by the Pontica Foundation, will take place on August 30th in the park of the Asparuhovo region and will become a stage for independent spirit and artistic inspiration.
During the festival, a short film by Andriana Kjulevchelieva will also be presented, telling the story of the creative interpretations of Assoc. Prof. Petkov and sculptor Petar Velinov.
The
Chaiki Festival, held under the motto
“Musical Bridges to Europe and the Balkans,” combines music, visual arts, and cinema, aiming to build cultural connections through contemporary and avant-garde works. The programme features Bulgarian and international performers, including Flippy Don Dadda, Grizzly, Gigashadow, the Croatian group
Šarena Pojava, and the Turkish band
Al’York. The art section will also feature sculptor Petar Velinov – Bulgarasa, whose works made of metal and recycled materials recreate animals, birds, and plants.
Another short film will present the results of the
dRum Art workshop – a music workshop for children from the “Joy for Our Children” Foundation, giving disadvantaged youngsters the opportunity to experience the magic of music.
