PROF. ANNA NEDYALKOVA, D.SC. WAS A GUEST OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF RUDOZEM ON THE OCCASION OF 24 MAY

30 May 2023
The celebrations in the Municipality of Rudozem on the occasion of 24 May  - the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of The Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slavic Literature, united over 300 figures of education, science and culture from the region - educators and makers of the Bulgarian spirit, history and spirituality.
The event was attended by representatives of the local and state authorities, as well as representatives from other universities with which the municipality maintains long-term contacts – the University of National and World Economy, the University of Mining and Geology.
At the invitation of the mayor of the Municipality of Rudozem, Mr. Rumen Pehlivanov, PhD, the special guest of the celebrations was the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of VFU “ Chernorizets Hrabar“, Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc.who greeted the guests:
"I want to give you the credit you deserve for seeing the need to gather together the greatness of the spirit - the scientists, the lecturers, the representatives of culture - in one hall. Three sides of a process that we should not separate. I am very happy to be able to attend this celebration as one of the representatives of these communities".
Prof. Nedyalkova addressed the mayor of the Municipality of Rudozem, Rumen Pehlivanov, PhD and the representatives of the local government: "As long as you have these people and this radiance in the hall, do not rush to turn to artificial intelligence, the one next to you here is strong, powerful, with many more possibilities.

It is true that this great intellect must now pass through the difficulties of the times in which we live, of the revolutionary changes in all fields which are taking place, of the upheavals and crises.
Yes, at the moment politicians are busy with themselves, economists – with inflation, with the currency board, social workers – with pensions, with minimum salaries... But the greatness of the spirit requires us to say: "Make programmes, politicians, write policies, but do not forget that science, education and culture have the first priority in them. This place is assigned to them by history and controlled by the future."
