PROF. DIMITAR KANEV, D.SC. WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE SPECIAL PROJECT OF BLOOMBERG TV ENTITLED "TECH 21: CIRCULAR ECONOMY"

The circular economy - they call it the "new normal". In contrast, today's global economic system is based on a linear model. For the past 200 years, it has provided economic growth and increased prosperity. But it is putting Earth's ecosystems to a serious test. What is a "circular economy"? What are the biggest technical obstacles before it, what role can it play in Bulgaria and how are life and business changing?
Viewers of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria will learn the answers to these and other questions on 13 November at 8:00 p.m., when the last edition of the year's special TV project "Tech 21: Circular Economy" will be broadcast.
Business representatives who have left behind the "get, produce, use, throw away" model will share their expertise and professional experience. The moderator of the special event will be Denislav Borisov - journalist and communications specialist, part of the marketing team of denkstatt Bulgaria.
The viewers of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria will also be able to learn more about the opportunities for green investments, what the "green future" of financial technologies is, how clean the waters will be and what sustainable energy sources are. More on the topic of the circular economy in the education system and how higher education can be a partner in the goals of the Green Deal will be told by the Vice-Rector of VFU Chernorizets Hrabar - Prof. Dimitar Kanev, D.Sc.

Stanislav Stanev, technical director of Veolia Bulgaria, will share experience on the circular economy in action, sustainable models for improving energy efficiency, reducing the impact on the environment and decarbonization. Stoycho Nakov - founder of Eco Switch and owner of Station zero, the first zero waste store for bulk products in Bulgaria, will tell more about life with zero waste in the context of the circular economy. He will comment on whether such a way of life exists and what are the advantages for business.
What are the environmental benefits of the circular economy and are there also economic benefits? During "Tech 21: Circular Economy", Diana Dimitrova - director of WWF's Environmental Programmes will analyse the topic. How the new sustainability challenges affect the retail sector and is the green transition slowing down in a world of war and an unstable economy - answers to these questions and her expert opinion on the subject will be given by Kremena Georgieva - Corporate Communications Manager of Kaufland Bulgaria.
