SCIENTISTS FROM SEVEN COUNTRIES WILL COMMENT ON NEWS IN THE FIELD OF SOLITONS AND NONLINEAR DYNAMICS AT VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR"

12 August 2024

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" welcomes for the second year in a row the participants in a workshop dedicated to the theory of solitons, nonlinear dynamics and machine learning, which will be held from 16 to 21 August 2024 at the university. The forum gathers leading scientists, young researchers and students from Bulgaria, USA, Romania, Germany, England, Ireland and Switzerland, who will present their scientific reports and research.

Solitons are persistent nonlinear waves that retain their shape and speed even after interacting with other waves. These properties make them particularly interesting for research in areas such as nonlinear optics, plasma physics, and hydrodynamics. The meeting will consider not only the theoretical aspects of solitons, but also their applications in various scientific fields. New approaches to solving complex equations will also be presented, demonstrating practical applications of machine learning, including the use of transformer architectures and neural networks with nested physical laws.

This year's working meeting will be held in a hybrid form - face-to-face and online. It is jointly organised by the Institute for Modern Physical Research and Varna Free University, through the Institute for Physical and Mathematical Research of VFU, with the support of the Scientific Research Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria under contract КП-06-МНФ/9 of 23.05.2024

Varna Free University establishes itself as a leading educational centre and actively contributes to the development of modern scientific and technological fields. The initiative is part of the university's long-term strategy to promote innovation and support for young scientists and researchers.
