Students of VFU
Students from the training firms of Varna Free University will go on a working visit to the headquarters of Volkswagen Insurance Company in Austria. This became clear after the conclusion of the three-day seminar on "Volkswagen in Business Practices", organized by the Faculty of International Economics and Administration at Varna Free University.
The interactive forum introduced the students to the work of the Volkswagen Concern and its Financial Services Group, and the strategies for operational planning. The students presented their projects and business solutions before the representatives of the top management of the Austrian insurance company. The students’ projects were related to the presentation of Bulgaria as a boutique tourist destination, start-ups in the sphere of hotel management, the food processing industry, the apparel and clothing trade and building an Internet platform for connection between education and business practices.
Thomas Schweihofer- Member of the Management Board of the Austrian Insurance Company shared his satisfaction from working with Varna students. He pointed out the usefulness of the discussions in the working groups, and praised the skills of the young people in strategic planning, market positioning of products and services and the advanced marketing solutions. The twenty participants in the seminar received special certificates for their participation in the forum. They will go on a working visit to the headquarters of Volkswagen Insurance Company, Austria in November. The two best performing students in the seminar - Blagovesta Nikolaeva, second- year student, majoring in Business Administration and Ivaylo Georgiev – student in Master’s programme Leadership in the Global Environment, will hold a three-month internship at the company. The young people did not hide their excitement of the opportunity and thanked the organizers and the lecturers at the seminar.
