STUDENTS FROM VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATED IN THE SECOND SEASON OF THE CFA INSTITUTE RESEARCH CHALLENGE 2025/2026

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" participated in the second season of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2025/2026 competition, organised by CFA Society Bulgaria.
The university was represented by the second-year student Maria Kafedzi and the third-year students Ehigi Blanche Sebastien-Eshemogie and Madlena Todorova Kostadinova. They actively participated in the competition, demonstrating excellent analytical skills and confidence in their presentation to the jury. The team was prepared and led by Senior Asst. Prof. Sevgi Osman, PhD who accompanied them throughout all stages of the competition.
CFA Institute Research Challenge is an international competition in which student teams prepare a report on the analysis of the shares of a publicly traded company and defend their conclusions in front of professionals from the investment industry. This season, the participants analysed Speedy AD, a company listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. As part of the initiative, students underwent training in company analysis, worked under the mentorship of established specialists and presented a report.
Worldwide, the initiative unites over 150 CFA member societies and thousands of students from more than 1,000 universities. The participation of students from Varna Free University responds to the university’s aspiration to emphasise practical training, international activity and the development of professional competencies in the field of economics and finance.
