Students of Varna Free University with prizes from the State Students' Championships
Within the framework of the state sports calendar of the Academic University Sports Association from 11 to 17 May, 2018, the State Students' Championships in Types of Sport were held as part of the National University Games 2018. Over 1,300 students took part in the individual competitions in different sports.
Students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" performed successfully in kickboxing and volleyball - women. Kiril Hristoskov was unbeatable winning 2 gold medals in kickboxing.
In volleyball for the final stage of the women's competition, eight of the best teams from all the universities in Bulgaria were ranked, as VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" took the fourth place after "Vassil Levski"NSA, "Paisii Hilendarski" Plovdiv University and UNWE.
During the sports competition year, members of the team were: Ivanka Kabakchieva (coach), Katerina Chongova (captain), Veselina Grigorova, Maria Mitreva, Diana Kazakova, Zlatena Salabasheva, Dani Naidenova, Katerina Petrova, Isabel Hristova, Desislava Milusheva, Rositsa Spasova , Katarina Atanasova.
