An exhibition of course projects in the discipline
Painting and Visual Arts, led by Assoc. Prof. Donika Kirova, PhD is arranged in the main lobby of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". 47 second-year students of the specialties
Graphic Design,
Interior Design and
Fashion Design are participating in it.
The exhibition presents conceptual projects for the colour facade design of the buildings of the Family-type Accommodation Centre for Children Deprived of Parental Care in Varna. The task was developed with a public focus and aims to refurbish and aesthetically enrich the environment in which the children and young people from the home live.
Two of the projects have already been selected by the board of trustees and the young people from the home for implementation. They are to be implemented on parts of the facades of the two buildings with acrylic facade paints. Volunteers, students and pupils will be involved in the painting.
The student proposals are tailored to the purpose of the buildings, the architectural context and the needs of the residents. The projects use geometric, abstract and realistic elements, through which the young authors express their ideas, imagination and empathy for the cause. The desired result is the creation of a colourful, aesthetic and harmonious vision that will contribute to a more pleasant and inspiring environment.
Some of the presented developments have been awarded by a jury, and visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to determine the winner of the special Audience Award by voting.
The initiative is part of the charitable and community engagement activities of Varna Free University, aimed at supporting children and youth and creating a better living environment through the power of art and creative education.
Visit the exhibition in the Central Lobby of the university to see all the wonderful projects!
