The Faculty of Social, Economic, and Computer Sciences at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” is organizing a masterclass titled “The Art of Communication” as part of the initiatives celebrating the university’s 35th anniversary. The event will take place on May 29th, 2026, in Hall 2 of the Academic and Sports Complex.
The forum will bring together journalists, television professionals, university lecturers, and communication experts for a series of practical lectures and discussions focused on the impact of media, artificial intelligence, and public speaking.
Participants will discuss how television influences society, how artificial intelligence is transforming television messaging, the rules of on-camera behavior, and how voice and speech contribute to building a convincing public presence.
Speakers in the masterclass include Marieta Bobeva - Director of RTV Center Varna, Petar Doykinski and Deyan Mihaylov - reporters at Bulgarian National Television, Asya Stefanova - speech therapist at Radio Varna and Assoc. Prof. Georgi Kalaglarski from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.
The program includes the following topics:
Television and Social Impact, Artificial Intelligence and Media Manipulation, Behavior in Front of a Television Camera, Pronunciation and the Impact of the Voice, Public Speaking.
The masterclass is intended for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students of the university. Participation is free for them. Those interested may obtain a certificate of participation for a fee of 20 euros.
