The blood donation campaign at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" collected nearly 10 liters of life

Nearly 10 liters of blood were collected today in the traditional blood donation campaign at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Thus, the students of our university will help dozens of patients and their families in the most difficult moments.

20 blood donors - 8 men and 12 women, including students, lecturers and employees of the university, joined the initiative, organized by the Student Council together with the Regional Center for Transfusion Hematology - Varna. |As it is a tradition, the President of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov and the Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova also took part. One of the donors was a foreign student. Five students donated for the first time - a gesture of courage, empathy and humanity.

Blood donation is vital - in addition to saving lives, donating blood also has benefits for the donor himself - it stimulates the renewal of blood cells, helps blood circulation and provides the opportunity for free health check-ups. This is a small gesture of immense importance that every healthy person can make to help society.
