The training in the master programme in Entrepreneurship, implemented by Varna Free University in partnership with the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center and the foundation of the American financial advisor and investment manager Larry Biehl InterCulture, starts on
20 October (Saturday), 2018 at 10:00 am in Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" (Educational and Sports Complex, 2nd floor).
The official launch of the programme at the university will be attended by the the creator of Siri Norman Winarsky, the creator of Ymotion film company, the writer, director and the star of Super Bowl Jamie Williams, the director of My Own Business Institute at Santa Clara University Dr Drew Starbird, the expert in the fields of outsourcing, public relations and marketing strategies Holly Biehl, and the founder of Western Cider Company,
Jon Clarenbach.
The official start of the programme will begin with signing of an additional agreement between Varna Free University and the InterCulture Foundation and the awarding of scholarship certificates to 31 students selected for training in the master degree programme after a precise selection procedure

About the master programme:
31 are the scholarship holders of the master programme in Entrepreneurship of Varna Free University, implemented in partnership with the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center and the foundation of the American financial advisor and investment manager Larry Biehl. The selection procedure involved more than 70 candidates, who passed a precise selection and interview to prove their interests and experience in the field of entrepreneurship and to become part of the one-of-a-kind master programme in Bulgaria.
Entrepreneurs and business professionals from around the world will participate in the programme as lecturers. Among the leading lecturers are Ernie Wilson, Professor of Communication and Political Science at the University of Southern California, and Michael Marvin, one of the founders of Tech Valley in New York. The programme will also include successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs, including Chobolabs executive director and co-founder Deyan Vitanov, Momchil Kyurkchiev, co-founder and CEO of Leanplum, and Dafina Toncheva from US Venture Partners.
Lecturers from Varna Free University will also participate in the training process to help adapt the information to the model of work in Bulgaria. The learning content of the programme in Entrepreneurship will be taught entirely in English.
During the first semester of their studies, the students will pass 6 courses covering topics such as entrepreneurial ideas, team, communication skills, process management, funding, etc. The second semester consists of 7 courses, most of which cover different spheres of entrepreneurship - social businesses, innovation and identity creation of the company and the brand behind it.
About the mentors:
Larry Biehl is a graduate of Stanford University. After developing his own business in Silicon Valley, he started helping young entrepreneurs do the same. For more than 50 years he has been working as a financial advisor and investment manager and advises start-ups around the world. He is the founder and chairperson of the Interculture Foundation, which is a partner in the implementation of the master programme and finances the scholarship project for training in it.
Norman Winarsky is s among the partners in the master programme. He is a leading figure in the field of artificial intelligence. President of SRI Ventures, as well as the creator of the voice assistant Siri bought by Apple in 2010. Norman is the author of a bestseller used as a students’ textbook at Stanford University. More than 30 startups in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology, etc. have been implemented with his support.
Jamie Williams is a former professional footballer, a Super Bowl star who, after a trauma, decided to change his career dramatically. He created the successful film company Ymotion and became a famous screenwriter and director. He also took part in Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday", and was also involved in the foundation and development of a number of technology companies and has become a successful entrepreneur, part of the management team of the University of Nebraska, where he got his PhD in Education and Leadership. Jamie Williams is one of the first lecturers with whom the scholarship holders of the master programme in Entrepreneurship will meet.
