Varna Free University and China's Nantong University (NTU) signed a cooperation agreement in 2023 and have successfully admitted the first batch of doctoral and master's students. By the end of 2024, Varna Free University will cooperate with more universities and institutions in education, culture, tourism and other aspects in Guangxi, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan and other provinces and cities in China, with the aim of expanding student enrollment from China.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China, Varna Free University (VFU) has expressed its preliminary agreement to participate in establishing a Reception and Exchange Center for Cooperation in China, with future leaders Professor Yang Ming, Ms. Sara Luo, Ms. Eva Chen HanJuny, and UnisFuture. They will be authorized to represent VSU in student recruitment and the promotion of cultural and educational collaboration in China.
The primary objectives of VFU’s Reception and Exchange Center for Cooperation in China will be to foster educational cooperation, support academic partnerships, promote student and faculty exchange programs, encourage joint research projects between VFU and leading Chinese educational institutions, facilitate student enrollment at VFU, strengthen cultural exchange, and support international cooperation between Bulgarian and Chinese academic communities. The center will create new opportunities for students, researchers, and academic institutions in both countries, strengthening academic connections and serving to promote friendship, cultural understanding, and cooperation between Bulgaria and China.
Additionally, under the initiative of Professor Yang Ming, Varna Free University (VFU), in collaboration with several Chinese universities, including Nantong University (NTU) and Guilin Tourism University (GTU), has started the formation of an Alliance for Educational and Cultural Cooperation between Bulgaria and China. The establishment of this alliance will serve as an important gesture in honor of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China and will become a significant milestone in the history of educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
At the same time, we believe that other Chinese universities will join this alliance, allowing more Chinese and Bulgarian faculty and students to exchange experiences and knowledge, thereby contributing to the cultural and educational development of both nations.
