The first-year students majoring in Law presented their projects on Human Rights Protection

First-year students majoring in Law presented their projects on Human Rights Protection, a course taught by Prof. Dr. Dobrinka Chankova. They explored significant topics, such as Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Human Rights Protection during War, Domestic Violence in Bulgaria, Human Trafficking, Human Rights and Digital Control in China, Protection of Personal Integrity and Personal Data, Evolution in Environmental Protection by the European Court of Human Rights.

The student Natalia Georgieva independently prepared a short film on the topic Digital Heritage discussing digital fingerprints in social networks and their interference with various human rights. A group of students prepared and implemented a training simulation of a meeting of the European Court of Human Rights on a hypothetical complaint about the deprivation of active and passive voting rights in Bulgaria.

The students demonstrated remarkable interest and in-depth knowledge of the subject. Some of them were invited to present their developments at the Summer Scientific Session, others signaled their serious intent for future scientific activity and legal careers.
