Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova - Deputy Rector of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” was a guest in the studio of “Znanie.bg” - a programme of the Bulgarian National Television. She is a co-founder and head of the Center for Positive Education, officially opened this year. What is the background of the center, what are the ambitions for its development and what are the expected results?
Over the past two years, “Znanie.bg” has shown how positive education is entering the classrooms in Varna. The first to see the results of it are the students, teachers and parents of Geo Milev Secondary School Varna. They started with their own project and continued with the bigger idea of Prof. Rumen Stamatov and Varna Free University, to end with the announcement of the first National Center for Positive Education in our country. The big goal, however, is to create a network of schools that develop positive education. The beginning has already been made and Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar", with the support of the Regional Department of Education and the Municipal Education Directorate, organized a forum on positive education to introduce school principals from the region to its approaches and methods.
