The Russian Center of Varna Free University received the highest award - the honorary badge of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. The award was presented at a solemn ceremony at the 13th Russkiy Mir Assembly by the chairman of the board of the Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov to Prof. Dr. Galina Shamonina - Director of the Russian Center and Secretary General of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
"For more than 10 years, the Russkiy Mir Foundation has supported projects and programs to promote Russian language and literature abroad. For that time we have proven to be a powerful network. Our strength is that we are a united reality," said Prof. Shamonina. The best Russian centers in the world were awarded at the ceremony.
Special guest of the Assembly is the President of Varna Free University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov. He met with university partners, participants in the "Professor of Russkiy Mir" programs. Partnerships for internships for Russian students at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and for our students in Russia were agreed on.
This year the forum is hosted by the city which is considered the cradle of the Russian theater - Yaroslavl.
