The master programme in Circular Economy will start with lectures delivered by the honorary director of the European Commission Directorate for Environment - George Kremlis at the Smolyan Branch of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" on 26 October, 2018.

The lectures on circular economics are part of the lecture course of the eponymous master programme, which is realized with the support of the Environment Directorate General of the European Commission, the Ministry of Environment and Water, the Parliamentary Commission on Environment and Water and the regional governors of Smolyan and Varna.

The master programme in Circular Economy is the first and only in the country master programme integrating in complex, specialized and innovative training the current problems of environmental protection and waste management in accordance with international, European and national criteria and requirements. The programme enables training in eco-innovation and prepares for the new professions in the context of the transformation from a linear to circular economy. The syllabus of the specialty includes fundamental and specialized courses, which develop the knowledge and skills of students in the field of ecology and sustainable development, circular economy and project management.


The lectures of the director of the European Commission Directorate for Environment, George Kremlis, start at 10:00 on 26 October and will be open to all interested in circular economy.
On 27 October  at 10.00 in Aula Bulgaria, George Kremlis will also take part in the solemn graduation ceremony of the 2018 class at the Smolyan Branch of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
