He thanked for the invitation to share with them the solemn presenting of the diplomas to the graduates of the class of 2017 of the Smolyan Branch of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", especially on this memorable day for Bulgaria, when we pay tribute to Hristo Botev and the people who died for the freedom of our country.
"Undoubtedly, you have received good education here, so trust and rely solely upon yourself. Do not look for success with family ties and political protections, because then success is of short duration. The lasting successes come when you achieved them on your own, and that is the only way they can bring you satisfaction," Slavov told the graduates and appealed to them: "Be public-spirited, get involved in social processes, be part of building a stronger civil society, which will guarantee the better future of our country. "
The Regional Governor noted that his presence today is a token of the good interaction with Varna Free University and stressed that the Smolyan Branch and the University have become a key institution with an active participation in the discussion and solving of important issues for the country and the region. "This brings us closer to the developed societies to which we aspire and shows our growth as a nation."
The diplomas of the graduating students of the class of 2017 were presented by the Regional Governor Nedyalko Slavov and Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. Folk dances and songs performed by local artists contributed to the festive mood.
