The National Rating System shows that the Law major at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" occupies the second place in the country in 2024, after Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". The major shows a positive trend with its rise by two positions compared to the previous year, which highlights the sustainable development and quality of legal education at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". Among the private universities in Bulgaria, the major Law at Varna Free University is the undisputed leader.
The average success rate of students who graduated from Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" can be compared with the high average success rate of students from the major at the national level - proof of the serious preparation and high level of education at the university. A sustainable continuity is also observed - Varna Free University trains students from several generations of the same family, with the share of first-generation students decreasing. This fact testifies to the lasting confidence in the quality of education that the university provides.
Regarding the realization of the graduated students, the data from the National Rating System show another interesting comparison. At the national level, specialists who graduated in Law are employed in 28.19% of the cases as lawyers and in 25.45% as civil servants. Graduates of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" work in 53.37% of the cases as civil servants and in 14.29% as lawyers. The two indicators, taken together, reflect a significantly higher realization of the graduates of the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University compared to the average levels for the country, with the students achieving a high labour and insurance income, and succeeding on the labour market.
The recently published Profile of Candidates for Junior Magistrates - Class of 2024 - 2025 of the National Institute of Justice supports the data on the good realization of the graduates from the Faculty of Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". According to the statistics of the National Institute of Justice 7.5% of the candidates for junior magistrates in the country in the current academic year are graduates from Varna Free University, three are candidates for junior prosecutors and one for a junior investigator. The Faculty of Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is once again among the top three leading faculties in Bulgaria in terms of the number of candidates for junior magistrates, which is another recognition of the level of education at the university.
The quality of education in the major Law at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is supported by modern curricula, highly qualified teaching staff and modern infrastructure. Students receive excellent training, which includes work placements and internships in the country and abroad, participation in law competitions, organization of public lectures by professors and distinguished specialists from the practice, and numerous opportunities for academic and professional development.
