THE RECTOR OF VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY MET WITH THE MINISTER OF FINANCE OF TURKEY

Just days after the signing of the agreement with Ankara University, the international programme of Varna Free University received another symbolic accent. Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD, Rector of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", accompanied by Chief Asst. Prof. Nadie Adem, PhD met with one of the most successful graduates of the university in Ankara - the Minister of Finance and State Treasury of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Şimşek.

Mehmet Şimşek is among the most influential figures in Turkish economic policy and one of the most recognizable Turkish statesmen on the international financial scene. With extensive professional experience in global financial institutions and many years of work in the country's governance, he is among the key figures that shape the contemporary economic image of Turkey. Among the graduates of Ankara University, he stands out as one of the most successful individuals with international recognition, which gives additional symbolism to the new partnership between the two academic institutions.

The meeting complements the series of academic and institutional contacts that accompany the expansion of Varna Free University's international partnerships and strengthen its presence in an environment where education, science and public policies increasingly find common ground in the search for solutions for the development of society.
