The Smolyan branch at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" united future and current entrepreneurs

The Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” branch in Smolyan organized a specialized training on the topic of 'Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Investment Management'. It was attended by students, representatives of local and executive authorities, industry and academia, who exchanged knowledge and good practices in the field of investments.

The event was held within the framework of the programme of the Plovdiv International Fair and was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anelia Parzhanova – Director of the Smolyan Branch, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Sokolov – lecturer at the University and Chief Director of the Plovdiv International Fair.

The guest lecturer of the training was the Regional Governor of Plovdiv – Prof. Dr. Hristina Yancheva, who emphasized the establishment of the region as a key economic center.

The following experts also took part with their expert analyses:
Plamen Georgiev – Director of the NRA Regional Office – Plovdiv, who presented the main trends in the work of the revenue administration and the special rules for VAT for suppliers of goods.
Daniela Darakchieva – Head of the Department at the Appeals and Tax and Social Insurance Practice Directorate, who introduced the students to the specifics of VAT taxation in transactions with EU companies.
Kremen Krasin – Manager of Krasin Ltd and a key national expert in the field of smart grid technologies and business financing in the energy sector. He presented the progress in the renewable energy industry and the development of sustainable solutions with high added value.
“The organization of such entrepreneurial initiatives motivates young people and creates new opportunities for addressing key societal challenges related to green development and innovation. They prepare them to think creatively, find effective solutions for their investment intentions and develop a successful business,” said Mr. Krasin.

The event once again proved the successful interaction between local and executive authorities, business and academia, aimed at improving the conditions for economic development.

The organizers from the Smolyan branch at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" emphasized that this model of remote learning not only provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge from proven experts, but also strengthens the role of the academic community as an active partner in the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.
