The psychology student and kickboxing champion Polina Galinova won new sports victories for Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Polly won two gold medals in the "Light Contact" and "Kick Light" categories at the National Students Games 2024 held in Stara Zagora.
The Varna Free University team, led by the lecturer Dimitar Uzunov, won two cups in the championship!
Polina Galinova is the winner of the European Kickboxing Cup. She is a bronze medalist at the World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal, November 2023, and a two-time World Junior and Cadet Kickboxing Champion. In December 2020, she became the Balkan vice-champion in the international kickboxing tournament "Balkan best fighters" in the Serbian city of Yagodina, and in March 2021 - she won her first national kickboxing championship. Polina won the gold at the State Kickboxing Championship in the style of "low kick" up to 56 kilograms, which was held in Varna, 2021. Since 2016, she has been part of the Bulgarian national kickboxing team. Polina Galinova is an excellent student, with numerous university honours. She is a competitor and coach at SC "Shumenska Krepost".
The National Students Games 2024 in Stara Zagora brought together nearly 1,600 students from 25 universities! They competed in a variety of sports including badminton, volleyball, basketball, judo, kickboxing, swimming, sports climbing, orienteering, athletics, cheerleading, tennis, table tennis, cricket, handball and football.
