THE YOUNGEST PROFESSOR IN LAW IN THE COUNTRY OBTAINED AN ACADEMIC POSITION AT VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER"

After a competition, the Scientific Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" awarded the academic rank "professor" in professional field 3.6. Law (Administrative Law and Administrative Process) to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova. Thus, at the age of 36, she became the youngest professor in Law in Bulgaria.
Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova has an impressive biography, a large part of which is related to nuclear energy. At VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" she defended a dissertation on the topic Improving the Legal Framework for Radioactive Waste Management in the Republic of Bulgaria. Her habilitation work is dedicated to the legal regulation of risk in nuclear energy. Her interests in the field are related to her 10-year experience as a legal consultant in the state enterprise Radioactive Waste. Prof. Dr. Olga Borisova is a member of the International Association of Nuclear Law - Association internationale du droit nuclearaire with headquarters in Brussels, she is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Bulgaria, as well as the International Institute of Internal Auditors in the USA. She participates in the Association Women in the Nuclear Industry - Bulgaria and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Scientists in Varna. He is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Russian, having defended her foreign language qualifications respectively before the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has a diploma in legal French, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain, the British Council and the University of Cambridge.
Prof. Borisova has many years of teaching experience at Varna Free University. Since 2020, he is the head of the Legal Sciences Department at the Faculty of Law.
 
 
 





The academic position of professor was also awarded to Anton Grozdanov in professional field 3.6. Law (Commercial Law), after a competition, with the chairman of the scientific jury corresponding member Prof. D.Sc. Ivan Ruschev. Prof. Grozdanov fully realized his educational and scientific career at Varna Free University. He graduated with a degree in Law in 2000, and a year later he began his teaching career at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". He successfully acquired the positions of Assist. Prof., Senior and Chief Assist. Prof. and Assoc. Prof. He is a lawyer at the Varna Bar Association, an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, a lecturer at the "Krastyu Tsonchev" Magistrate Training Center. He is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, as well as a member of the Control Council of the Union of Scientists in Varna. He is the chairman of the Ethical Commission of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar. In 2021, he was awarded the Varna Award in the field of science and higher education.
