Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" celebrates 24 May in the year in which it celebrates 30 years from its establishment, with two Varna Awards. The prestigious award is presented annually on the occasion of the
Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and
Slavonic Literature to teachers, scientists, research teams from universities and research institutes in the municipality of Varna for significant achievements in their scientific and teaching activities.
In the Social Sciences category, an individual award is given to Assoc. Prof. Anton Grozdanov, PhD - for his monograph "Legal Regime of Services in Shipping" in two volumes and for his overall contribution to the organization and implementation of teaching and research activities in the field of the law of the sea.
In the Technical Sciences category, an individual award is given to Prof. Arch. Alexander Slaev, PhD - for his monograph "Planning of the Anthropogenic Environment And Natural Resources: Theory of Complex Property Rights", as well as for achievements in research in the field of architecture, spatial planning and urban planning, its integration into teaching to raise the level of training in architecture at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
The two lecturers were nominated by Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
