Students from Moldova visit Varna Free University

A group of students, members of the Young and Creative youth association in the Taraklia municipality in Moldova visited Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”. The young people were acquainted with the study opportunities, the admission conditions and the modern campus. They visited the Russian Centre and met the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Valeri Stoyanov, PhD, who answered their numerous questions.

The students were most interested in the admission and study conditions for citizens of the Republic of Moldova of Bulgarian nationality.

Taraklia is one of the oldest Bulgarian settlements in 19th century in the once South Bessarabia. The town was founded in 1813. In the middle of the 19th century 300 Bulgarian families lived there. According to the 1989 census, the population of the town amounts to 14 821 people. 11 821 out of them, or 75 %, are Bulgarian.
