VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WAS AWARDED ANOTHER TOP GRADE

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was re-certified for the sixth consecutive time under the ISO standards - quality management. The evaluation process has been successfully completed by the Bureau Veritas Certification International Organization and the university has been awarded an accreditation certificate from UKAS (Great Britain) for a period of 3 years - until 2022.

The first certification of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" was in 2001. The University has passed six successful certification cycles, each of which for a three-year period. Since March 1, 2019, VFU has been re-certified under the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard.

The quality management system of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar"  proves its sustainable development over time. There is no other higher education institution in Bulgaria that has an 18- year uninterrupted cycle of a certified quality management system.

The area of certification of Varna Free University according to ISO 9001: 2015 for the period 2019 - 2022 includes:
- Offering of accredited higher education, postgraduate qualification and specialization, re-training and lifelong learning.
- Doing research and expert-consultancy activities.
- Development and participation in international and national scientific and applied projects and initiatives.
- Giving opportunities for inter-university cooperation and academic mobility of students, lecturers and administrative staff.

ISO is an international standardization organization which involves organizations from over 100 countries worldwide. It develops various quality management standards in a number of business spheres. ISO standards are adopted by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and replace national standards with generally accepted international standards. They serve to improve the communication and development of the international cooperative worldwide.
