VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY IS AGAIN IN THE TOP 4 IN DIGITAL REPUTATION

For the second consecutive year, Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is in the TOP 4 in digital reputation among universities in Bulgaria. This is shown by the latest edition of the independent global ranking UniRank.

UniRank covers over 14,000 universities worldwide. For Bulgaria, 48 accredited higher education institutions are evaluated based on indicators of web presence, online popularity and authority on the Internet. These indicators form the digital reputation of the university and turn the ranking into a kind of benchmark for its "digital health".

The achievement of Varna Free University is the result of a long-term and consistent policy for building a strong university brand and a sustainable digital presence. The basis of this policy are the real educational, scientific and public initiatives of the academic community, which daily find a place in the university's communication channels. Over the past year, over 250 news items have been published on the Varna Free University website. Every day, authorial content is created for different audiences - prospective students, students, lecturers, alumni and partners, and the university maintains an active dialogue with its audiences in social networks and online space.

The foundations of the communication policy were laid with the establishment of the university 35 years ago. In recent years, it has been enriched with an analysis of the university brand, on the basis of which a communication strategy was developed, set as part of the Development Strategy of Varna Free University for the period 2026–2029.

In 2026, Varna Free University was included in the prestigious QS Europe University Rankings for academic reputation. The ranking included 958 universities from 42 European countries, which were evaluated according to 12 indicators related to the quality of education, scientific research, international engagement, sustainable development and the career prospects of graduates.
