Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is included in the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments with funding under the Programme "Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation" (PNIIDIT) 2021–2027 for the creation of a modern laboratory in road, hydrotechnical and building engineering. The project proposal is part of the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments "REPowerNeT(P) - Transition to Carbon-Neutral Cities for Sustainable Development through Investments in the Urban Environment and Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups in the North-Eastern Region", with a lead partner Shumen Municipality.
Varna Free University plans to establish a laboratory equipped with specialised equipment and software for digital research. By implementing modern digital technologies, conditions will be provided for conducting applied research and practical training in the field of civil and hydrotechnical sciences. The new infrastructure will support the scientific and educational activities of the university and contribute to the sustainable development of the region by promoting innovation and building a high-tech environment for training and research.
