VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY OFFERS FREE COURSES IN THE CHINESE, JAPANESE AND PORTUGUESE LANGUAGES AND CULTURE

The Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" launches new free courses in the Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese languages and culture, aimed at students, teachers and employees of the university
The Chinese language and culture course will start on 14 October 2025 and will be implemented in partnership with Ningbo University of Finance & Economics in China. The training will be conducted face-to-face during the winter semester and will include an introductory course in Chinese language and culture, after 4:00 pm, in small groups. The course will be led by a native speaker from China - Ms Xiaoyang Sun.
The Japanese language and culture course is on a year-round basis and will start on 13 October 2025. It is organised jointly with the International Institute of Japanese Language and Culture ICEA. The training will be held face-to-face once a week after 4:00 pm in small groups and will be led by a native speaker from Japan – Mr Yasuro Minami.
The Portuguese language and culture course is year-round and will start on 3 November 2025. The training is carried out in partnership with the Camoes Institute – Portuguese Cultural and Language Centre at the Embassy of Portugal in Bulgaria. It will be held online after 5:00 pm and will be led by a team from the institute. The course is completely free.
