Varna Free University Receives Institutional Accreditation with an Excellent Rating

On the threshold of its 35th anniversary, Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has received its fifth consecutive institutional accreditation for the maximum 6-year period with a score of 9.01 out of 10 under the new criteria system of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA). The decision applies to both on-campus and distance learning modes of study.

The score of 9.01 is among the highest awarded to higher education institutions in the past year and stands as a strong testament to the ability of our academic community to uphold and build upon high standards in both education and research.

According to the updated methodology of the NEAA, institutional accreditation is granted based on an evaluation across ten key criteria, including strategic management, teaching process, research activity, international engagement, student involvement, and the presence of an internal quality assurance system. The new criteria impose higher demands on the sustainability, transparency, and effectiveness of the institutional environment.

With the NEAA's decision, Varna Free University reaffirms its place among the higher education institutions with excellent institutional ratings, opening new opportunities for academic development, international partnership, and modernization of education.
