Varna Free University Triumphs with First Place in the '8th December Cup' Tournament

The women's team of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" won first place in the annual 3x3 Streetball tournament, part of the '8th December Cup' competitions. The team includes our golden girls Silvia Petrova (4th year student, majoring in Crime Prevention and Public Order Protection), Sofia Gavrailova (2nd year student, majoring in Law), Mariela Nikolova (2nd year student, majoring in Architecture) and Victoria Milcheva, a student in the Master's programme Customs Intelligence and Investigation. They were led by the sports teacher Ralitsa Raycheva.

The 3x3 Streetball tournament brought together teams from different universities. The representatives of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" demonstrated excellent technique, strong team spirit and remarkable endurance, which brought them the well-deserved gold medal. The team of the University of Economics - Varna finished second, and the Technical University - Varna took the third place.

The men's team of the university also performed well.

The winners were awarded prizes, provided by the Sport Directorate of the Municipality of Varna. The ‘8th December Cup’ sporting events continue this week.
