Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency will partner on strategic topics related to education and culture, and their presentation in Bulgaria and to the world. The agency will be a media partner in celebrating the 30th anniversary of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The General Director of the BTA Kiril Valchev accepted the invitation to deliver a public lecture and give a master class for the students of the university. This was agreed today at a meeting between the academic leadership and the Director General of the national news agency during his visit to the university.
There are points of contact between the Strategy for Development of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Concept for the BTA, on which we can successfully partner, said Prof. Anna Nedyalkova, D.Sc. - Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the University. These are the issues of internationalization of education, science and research system, trust as a competitive advantage and the creation of content on current topics such as circular economy, cybersecurity, forensics, architecture and cities for people, entrepreneurship, cultural tourism.
VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar", as a private university, is obliged to offer a unique educational product and to maintain the quality of education at the highest level, added the rector - Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD. The President, Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Nedyalkov, PhD shared his vision for the joint work in the interest of science in Bulgaria.
On his part, Kiril Valchev said that the BTA has a long-standing successful partnership with Varna Free University. He invited the talented students of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" from the northeast and the Rhodope region for internships in the regional correspondent offices of the BTA in Varna and Smolyan under the programme Student Internships of the Ministry of Education and Science.
"The meeting with the leadership of Varna Free University was extremely beneficial. This is a meeting between two institutions with a major role in modern Bulgaria – the BTA - one of the oldest news agencies in the world, established in 1898, and VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" - in the top ten ranked universities in the country. It is an honour for the agency to be a media partner in the remarkable 30th anniversary of Varna Free University", commented Kiril Valchev. He shared his observation that Varna is a real City of Knowledge.
