VFU “CHERNORIZETS HRABAR” IS ASSESSED WITH EXCELLENT GRADES FOR ITS DOCTORAL PROGRAMMES IN THE PROFESSIONAL AREA OF ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND GEODESY

On the eve of 24 May – the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Enlightenment and Culture –Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” received exceptionally high grades for all doctoral programmes in the professional area of 5.7. Architecture, Construction and Geodesy. The results were achieved within the framework of the latest accreditation procedures of the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation.The doctoral programme in Occupational Safety and Firefighting Technology was accredited with the highest grade – 9.33 (on a ten-point system). It develops scientific and applied expertise in the field of fire engineering and safe working conditions in the construction sector.
With a grade of 9.24, there are two programmes: Architecture of Buildings, Structures, Facilities and Details and Territorial and Landscape Planning and Urban Planning. The first builds highly qualified personnel with research and analytical skills in architectural design, and the second - in territorial planning, ecology and design of public spaces.
The doctoral programme in Building Structures received 9.22, aimed at the development of innovative technologies, analysis and design of modern building systems.
With 9.19 is the programme in Synthesis of Architecture with Other Arts, Interior and Architectural Design. Its interdisciplinary nature combines architecture with aesthetics and creative practices, preparing specialists with a broad creative vision.
The grade 9.10 was awarded to the doctoral programme in Building Materials, Products and Technologies of Their Production . The programme is aimed at specialists who through scientific research and in-depth knowledge in the field of materials science and technology, develop sustainable and innovative construction solutions.
With the obtained results, VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar” strengthens its academic authority and its leading position in the preparation of doctoral students in the field of architectural and civil engineering sciences. The obtained grades reflect the university's consistent policy of maintaining high quality in educational and scientific activities.
