VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is hosting a seminar on innovations in language teaching

The Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is organizing a scientific and methodological seminar for foreign language teachers, which will be held on July 5th and 6th, 2025 at the University's Academic and Sports Complex. The event is a joint initiative with Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.
The seminar is aimed at foreign language teachers from schools, universities, language schools and educational centers, as well as experts from regional education departments. The thematic focus is on improving professional competencies in view of modern technological trends in foreign language teaching.
The event programme includes lectures, practical sessions and a round table with the participation of prominent teachers from key Bulgarian universities and representatives of technology companies.
Some of the topics are:
• 'The Language of the Future: Philology and Prompts in Synchrony' – Bozhana Mihaylova and Boris Mihaylov, Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv
• 'Speed of Change in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education' – Dr. Alexander Angelov, Center for Creative Learning
• 'Private GPT and the Benefits in Education' – Yanko Bakhchevanov and Vyara Changarova, Kontrax JSC
• 'Research on the Use of AI in Foreign Language Teaching' – Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Sofronieva and Prof. Dr. Milen Zamfirov, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”
• Roundtable with moderator Prof. Dr. Nadya Cherneva, Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, etc.
All participants will be awarded certificates with credits according to Regulation No. 15 of 22.07.2019 on the Status and Professional Development of Pedagogical Specialists.
