Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was awarded an honorary plaque for Contribution to the Development of Student Sports. This award is a recognition of the university's long-term efforts in promoting physical activity and sportsmanship among students. The distinction was presented at a solemn ceremony in the Yunashki Hall, where the champions of the jubilee XXV Varna Universiade were awarded. In the most massive sports event for students from the six Varna universities this year, over 700 athletes competed in 8 types of sports: mini football, cross-country track and field, street ball 3x3, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, chess and tennis. The organizers of the Varna Universiade are the Municipality of Varna, the Sports Directorate, the Student Councils and the sports departments in the higher education institutions.

The students from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" performed with dignity, achieving prize-winning results. In men's track and field, Martin Mihov placed second, and the university's men's tennis team won the bronze medal in the team rankings. In women's swimming, in the backstroke discipline, Maria Koleva won third place.

The 25th anniversary Varna University Student Universiade will stay in the history not only with the high level of the competitions, but also with the spirit of unity and friendship that united the young athletes. VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" continues to be a proud example of commitment to sports and the success of its students.
