VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" WITH ONE OF THE HIGHEST ACCREDITATION GRADES IN BULGARIA – 9.24 FOR MUSIC AND DANCE ART

On the eve of its 35th anniversary, Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" received one of the highest programme accreditation scores in the country - 9.24 for the professional area of 8.3 Music and Dance Art. The excellent score was awarded by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency after a procedure conducted according to the European Quality Standards (ESG). It covers training in the educational and qualification degrees "bachelor" and "master". With this result, VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" strengthens its position as a significant national centre for higher education in the field of arts.
The score of 9.24 is recognition of the university's consistent policy of developing education that combines tradition, high requirements and high professional standards. The department offers the specialty Choreography - Bulgarian Folk Dances and Contemporary Dance Theatre, as well as the master's programme in Performing Arts, Management and Production.
The results in the field of arts are part of the overall high assessment of the training quality of at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The professional area of 5.7 Architecture, Construction and Geodesy is also accredited with an excellent score of 9.28 out of a maximum of 10. The synergy between architecture, design and performing arts creates an academic environment in which artistic talent develops in dialogue with space, forms and technologies.
The Choreography specialty has a 31-year history. Since 1995, nearly 500 graduates have completed their studies, many of whom lead prestigious ensembles and schools in our country and abroad. Among them are artists and teachers with international recognition, who worthily represent the Bulgarian cultural identity on the world stage.
The university boasts its Academic Dance Theatre, established in 2008, which has become an emblem of the artistic activity of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". It is the creative laboratory of the students of the Choreography specialty and a platform for the implementation of educational stage projects. The concerts of the Academic Dance Theatre annually gather hundreds of spectators in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Centre and affirm the role of the university as an active cultural factor in public life.
This year, on 3 March, the students will perform the concert performance "One Breath of People", dedicated to the National Day of Bulgaria. The event will be held in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Centre, with the support of the Municipality of Varna. Earlier in the day, the students of the Choreography specialty will open the festive relay tour of Radio Varna. New concert performances are also forthcoming, which will introduce the Varna and national audience to the energy and talent of the young artists.
Thus, with a high accreditation score and an active creative calendar, VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" celebrates its 35th anniversary as a university in which art is a mission and quality is a standard.
