The 11th International Qualification School "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language", which is one of the most successful projects of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Russkiy Mir Foundation, will be held at the university from 19 to 23 August. The event will be attended personally by Vladimir Kochin, executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, who will open the forum on 19 August (Monday) at 11.15 am at the Russian Centre of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".

THE CHOREOGRAPHY STUDENTS VISITED THE GOLDEN GIRLS OF BULGARIA

The choreography students and their lecturers of Varna Free University had the unique opportunity to see some of the new routines of the rhythmic gymnastics ensemble that presents Bulgaria to the world. The graces are being prepared at the National Sports Base "Sports Palace" for the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, which will be held in September in the capital of Azerbaijan - Baku.

The first dance workshop in Bulgarian folklore, organized by the specialwty "Choreography" of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" went by with great interest. Lovers of Bulgarian rhythms from all over the country took part in it. Among the most active participants were the dancers from the dance groups "Plamak" from Burgas, "Balkanika" from Gorna Oryahovitsa, "Lazur" from Burgas, "Pendara", "Nastroenie" from Aksakovo and "Folklore Magic" from Stara Zagora.

​Public lecture entitled "Opportunities for Conflict Management in the Public Sphere" was presented by the lecturer of Varna Free University Assoc. Prof. Ivanka Bankova, PhD. It considered the specific features of conflicts as an inevitable constituent of social development and the public sphere. Subjects of administrative conflict have regulated relationships and may interact with each other within the framework of rules and regulations laid down.

FOUR VARNA SCHOOLS ALREADY HAVE "CYBERMAGICIANS"

Schoolchildren from 5th and 6th grades at Tsar Simeon I Primary School and 3rd Angel Kanchev Elementary School presented to their parents in the hall of the Youth Centre in Varna the lessons learned in the educational project entitled Cibermagicians. During the event, we saw some interesting presentations prepared by the cybermagicians - games, animations and even a short film, which outlined the basic rules for safety and security in a digital environment. Lecturers from the Department of Informatics at Varna Free University presented to children and parents useful information for working on the Internet with common devices used by the family.
