Students of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will work on developing a strategy for prevention and protection of the population from earthquakes in Provadia. Mentor of the workshop will be the world-renowned architect - Prof. Masut Ismailu, PhD of the University of Architecture in Venice, he himself said during his visit to the International Conference ArCivE'2019 - Architecture and Construction, which took place at the University.
Students and lecturers from the Smolyan branch of Varna Free University took part in the opened today by the President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria Dr Solomon Passy and the Deputy Regional Governor Andriyan Petrov 6th Summer school "NATO @ 70 the road ahead". The event is held for the fifth consecutive year in Smolyan. The seminar is organized by the Bulgarian Euro-Atlantic Youth Club and aims to bring together young people of different nationalities together with people from NGOs, the media and government representatives to discuss topics related to the future of NATO.
The annual show of the students majoring in "Fashion Design" and "Fashion and Fashion Management" took place in the Eastern Park of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The models showed designs created by the students under several themes - "Collage", "Flora", "On loan from the men's wardrobe" and diploma projects. Garments, which were awarded at the TEXTAILOR EXPO in Plovdiv at the end of last year, were also shown.

Siyka Busheva graduated from the Master's degree programme in "Management of International Business Projects" at the Smolyan Branch of VFU with honors.
The 9th International Scientific Conference on Architecture and Construction ArCivE '2019 was launched in Varna Free University. The forum will continue until June 2. It was opened by the president of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krassimir Nedyalkov, under whose patronage the event is held. 110 Bulgarian participants and 20 foreign lecturers were registered for the conference. A fashion event for Varna became "La Mer", which was the graduation show of the students majoring in "Fashion and Management in Fashion" at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Graduates from the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" were awarded their higher education diplomas at a solemn ceremony in Aula Maxima. 190 students graduated. 55 students of the 2018 class graduated cum laude in the professional fields "Law", "National Security" and "Psychology".
For another consecutive year, students from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" visited the main European institutions in Brussels for a week and listened to specially designed lectures related to the euro financing for Bulgaria and the technology for project development. The students took part in a training course at the European Commission Directorate-General "Communications" and "Digital Europe". The group from Varna Free University got to know the work of the European Parliament and took part in a discussion on the Bulgarian presence in the EP. The trainees learned about the opportunities for Bulgaria to raise funds under the Structural Funds and took part in a discussion on the work of the Council of the European Union on the future changes in EU governance.
