More than 1,200 students from Varna's schools attended the traditional Higher Education Fair, which took place in Yunashki Salon in the sea capital. In recent years, the interest of secondary school graduates in Bulgarian universities has been constantly growing, Diyana Yaneva, director of the Career Guidance Centre in Varna, commented. The trend is for young people to seek more often for advice on their career orientation, Yaneva added.
Dr. Arch. Isabel Esquerra from the School of Engineering and Architecture, University of Zaragoza, presented a lecture entitled "Sociology of Architecture and Urban Planning" to architecture majors and faculty from the Varna Free University.

At the Administrative Court in Smolyan, a practical training was held for students from VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" on the problematics of administrative justice. The training was organized on the initiative of Dr. Marina Mihaylova, a judge at the Supreme Administrative Court with 25 years of experience, Juris Doctor and lecturer in Administrative Law and Procedure.
This year Bulgarian and foreign students, as well as lecturers from Bulgaria, Japan, Russia, Poland and Ukraine took part in the traditional hike to Mount Shipka, organized by the Student Council at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has а reason to be proud, as two of its students received nominations in the prestigious national competition 'Student of the Year', organized by the National Representation of тхе Student Councils in Bulgaria. Mila Petrova, a fifth-year majoring in Law, and Yana Stoyanova, a fourth-year student in Fashion Design were nominated in the Legal Sciences and Student Volunteer of the Year categories, respectively.

The foreign students from the preparatory course for language and specialized training, students from the Erasmus+ programme and doctoral students from Israel got acquainted with the Bulgarian traditions and customs related to the holiday of Baba Marta. The event was organized by the Department of Foreign Language Teaching and Postgraduate Qualification.
Eclectika Club at the Student Council at Varna Free University raised BGN 1,102 with their first charity initiative "Baba Marta with a Cause". The money from the bazaar were donated on March 1, 2024, to the Home for Medico-Social Care for Children in the Vinitsa district of Varna.
