12/04/2023The Academic Dance Theater of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" will take part in the concert of the folklore artist Iliya Lukov, which will be held on April 19, 2023 in Hall 1 of the Festival and Congress Center in Varna. The wonderful boys and girls majoring in Choreography at Varna Free University are among the stars of the concert "29 Years with the Songs of Iliya Lukov", in which Natalia and Tatiana Petkovi, Kichka Hristova and her students, Dance Formation "Sharena Gayda" will take part. The event is organized by the Pirina production house.

10/04/2023The Рector of Varna Free University Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov visited Sakarya University in Turkey and met with the rector Prof. Dr. Hamza Al. Issues related to the educational and exchange programmes, as well as to the development of cooperation between the two universities were discussed during the talks, which were attended by Prof. Hakan Serhad Soyhan and representatives of the International Department of Sakarya. The possibilities for joint training in the Master's degree programme Intelligent Security Systems and partnership in the training of students under the "Erasmus+" programme were commented on. As a result of the meeting, an inter-institutional agreement under the Erasmus+ programme has already been prepared.

07/04/2023Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" participated in Panorama of Higher Education, organized by the Center for Personal Development Support and Counseling in Vidin. The event was held under the patronage of the mayor of the Municipality of Vidin, Dr. Tsvetan Tsenkov. The panorama attracted high school students, school-leavers, parents and teachers, who got acquainted with the possibilities of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the various programmes that the university offers for post-secondary education, the possibilities for applying, the educational exchange with various European universities, the professional realization and development of our graduates.
A GRADUATE STUDENT PRESENTED AN IMPRESSIVE PROJECT FOR A CONGRESS AND FESTIVAL CENTER IN THE ALBENA RESORT
05/04/2023Graduates from Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" have successfully defended their diploma projects and very soon they will be the youngest members of the guild of architects in Bulgaria. 14 graduates presented their projects in front of the academic jury, chaired by the corresponding member Prof. D. Sc. arch. Atanas Kovachev - head of the Architecture and Urban Studies Department. They have prepared projects for residential, industrial and public buildings, two of the works were on the topic of urban planning, and one was dedicated to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage. The marks from the presented projects averaged Very good 5. This is the time when our students show what they have learned during their studies at the university, and often the real architectural project they have created is related to their dreams.
282-CENTIMETER TOWER WON THE VIII EDITION OF THE NATIONAL CREATIVE SKILLS COMPETITION VARNA SPAGHETTI ENGINEERING
01/04/2023A tower with a height of 282 centimeters, which successfully passed the most serious seismic testing for earthquake, and also for shapeliness and creativity, won the first place in the eighth edition of the National Competition for Creative Skills Varna Spaghetti Engineering, which was held today at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The organizer and host of the event is the Construction of Buildings and Facilities Department, and the team is the winner of the 2019 Varna Award.

30/03/2023The Student Council of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will present an award for the most united team to one of the 13 teams that will take part in the eighth edition of the National Creative Skills Competition Varna Spaghetti Engineering. The 13 school student groups will represent the leading vocational high schools in architecture, construction and geodesy in the country. This year they will compete in designing and building towers made from spaghetti.

He met Yani Yanev - Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Petar Hristov - Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova, Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration.

INCREASED INTEREST IN THE SPECIALTIES OF VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABER" DURING THE CANDIDATE STUDENT CAMPAIGN VARNA 2023
24/03/2023Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" presents its courses and majors in the "CANDIDATE STUDENT CAMPAIGN VARNA 2023", organized by the Municipality of Varna, through the Directorate of Education and Youth Activities, in cooperation with Career Development Center-Varna. The event was opened by Lilia Hristova - director of the Education and Youth Activities Directorate at the Municipality of Varna and Diyana Yaneva - director of the municipal career development center. The traditional meeting between Varna universities and graduating high school students was resumed after a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yaneva explained to the media that a large percentage of the school-leavers, who are about 2,000 per year, stay to study in Bulgaria. Many prefer the universities in Varna because of the level of training they offer and the attractive majors that give young people the opportunity for realization and good pay.
