VFU "CHERNORIZETS HRABAR" SIGNED A PARTNERSHIP MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE NATIONAL CHAMBER "FIRE SAFETY IN CONSTRUCTION"
11/09/2019The Rector of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" Prof. Dr. Peter Hristov signed a memorandum of understanding with Tencho Dinev - a Chairperson of the National Chamber "Fire Safety in Construction". Varna Free University is the first higher educational institution in the country, apart from the state higher educational institutions that started courses in “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population”, commented Prof. Peter Hristov. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Plovdiv. The academic year was opened at the Dual Training Center, where "Vivat Academia" was sung for 200 students from the Faculty of Architecture and the Department of Construction of Buildings and Facilities at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".

10/09/2019The team of Varna Free University takes part in the 8th international festival "Friends, Our Union is Wonderful!" which this year is in the beautiful Bulgarian Black Sea town of Kiten. The event brings together 280 students from 25 universities and 32 European countries studying Russian and Russian culture.

09/09/2019The Faculty of Law at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" organizes introductory training of obligated persons under Art. 4 of the Measures against Money Laundering, in accordance with the regulatory requirements and the Regulations for its implementation. The course is suitable for representatives of non-governmental organizations, wholesalers, real estate agencies, currency exchange offices, insurance officers, registered auditors, accountants, private bailiffs, postal operators, professional sports clubs, etc.
VFU “CHERNORIZETS HRABAR” WITH A POSITIV MARK TO BE CERTIFIED WITH THE AWARD „HR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH”
07/09/2019VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" is the first Bulgarian university to receive the “HR Excellence in Research” award. The award is given by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation to research organizations that accept and implement the principles in the European Charter for Researchers and the code of conduct for the recruitment of researchers. VFU has had the award for seven years. In October 2019, the university will be visited by EC experts who will carry out a site-visit for the re-certification of VFU with the HR excellence in Research human resources logo for the next period. This visit is based on the preliminary positive assessment received for compliance of all documentation that was developed and submitted to the Directorate-General's Research and Innovation at the EC - a self-assessment report of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" for the period of ownership of the HR logo and the developed electronic university profile based on the EURAXESS network.
"BIOMEDICAL IMAGE ANALYSIS SUMMER COURSE" HAS STARTED
03/09/2019The long-awaited training in biomedical image processing and analysis "Biomedical Image Analysis Summer Course" has begun. The research course is run by lecturers from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Medical University of Varna "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov". It includes 35 professors, university, doctoral and school students with an interest in science.

S. Rakovsky"and Ariel University in Israel. The meeting was attended by Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD - rector of VFU, Major-General Grudi Angelov, PhD - head of the Military Academy, Amit Dvir, PhD - Academic Director of the Centre for Cybertechnology at Ariel University, experts and lecturers .

28/08/2019The management body of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” welcomed the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Rumeli University - Hüseyin Balcı and the Rector of the University - Prof. Dr. Hazim Tamer Dodurka. Assoc. Prof. Krasimir Nedyalkov, PhD – VFU president and the Rector - Prof. Petar Hristov, PhD, discussed with the Turkish guests issues related to the international cooperation between the two universities, as well as future joint partnership projects. Possibilities for inclusion of Varna Free University and Rumeli University in the inter-university network were discussed, as well as the development of exchange of students and lecturers under different programmes.
