The Institute for Psychological Counselling and the Department of Psychology at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" conducted the first in Bulgaria training module that combines psychological and legal knowledge. In the postgraduate qualification module entitled "Psychosocial Assessment in Risk and Deviant Behaviour" participated 22 specialists, many of whom are experts in the courts in Bulgaria or work in the centres for protection against violence and for work with children. The main topics in the qualification module were related to working with victims of domestic violence and gender-based violence.
Teams and athletes from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will take part in the National Students Games which start todey. The university sports event of the year is organized by the Association of Academic Sports "Academic" in partnership with the six universities in Varna. It is supported by Varna Municipality and is a part of the program "Varna - European City of Sport 2019".
Students from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will support the team of the Bulgarian Football Union during the final round of the European Football Championship for women under the age of 17 - UEFA EURO 2019 - Women U17. Bulgaria will host the tournament.

The International Scratch Day will be held in Varna on 12 May at 10.00 am in Yunashki salon. The event is organized by the Municipality of Varna in partnership with Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". More than 150 students, teachers and parents from Varna are expected to participate on the Scratch Day, demonstrating knowledge, skills and competences in programming and STEM projects.
The civil law team of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" took the silver medal of the Ninth Interuniversity Competition for Case Solving in Civil and Commercial Law, which took place during the weekend in Burgas.
26 companies from the construction and machine building industries attended an international meeting – discussion entitled "Modern Engineering - Innovative Industrial Construction and Machine Building", organized by Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" in partnership with the European Industrial Cluster. The meeting is part of the European Cluster Collaboration Weeks.
The Municipality of Varna awarded students of Varna Free University for their active participation in an information campaign in senior citizens’ clubs against telephone fraud. The Deputy Mayor Todor Ivanov presented certificates of achievement to Mihaela Milcheva, Aleksandra Vasileva, Edzhe Emilova, Doroteya Nikolaeva, Sali Lyubenov, Kiril Hristoskov and Aleksander Ivanov, majoring in National Security Protection, Psychology and Architecture.
