
Third- and fourth-year students majoring in National Security Protection and Combating Crime and Public Order Protection at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" visited the Nuclear Power Plant in Kozloduy as part of their internship. The future experts, who are trained in the university's bachelor's programmes, got acquainted with the main systems located at the Kozloduy NPP site and the Nuclear Power Plant Accident Management Centre. They met with the experts and talked about topics related to the operational safety and security in the country's largest electricity producer. Topics related to the future of nuclear energy and Bulgaria's energy strategy, the environmental aspects of energy on a global scale, energy efficiency and the need for highly qualified experts in the field of energy and security were discussed.

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" has re-signed a contract with BI Norwegian Business School to conduct the joint bachelor's programme in International Business, which gives students the opportunity to simultaneously receive two prestigious diplomas in two majors from both universities.

The students of the Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" give an excellent mark of 5.62 to the quality of the educational process at the university. The results summarise the opinion of 4,478 students in 517 disciplines taught at the university. The survey is part of the regular student satisfaction inquiry that takes place at the end of the academic year. The results show sustainability - this year they are similar to last year’s, but with 15% more inquiries conducted. The analysis was discussed at a meeting of the Academic Council of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".

Creative workshop "The job of a Choreographer" was run at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". The Department of Arts at the university welcomed the children, who are aged 8 to 12.

The results from the candidate student campaign show that the interest towards the distance learning programmes at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" is increasing. Prospective students can choose out of five programmes in the educational qualification degree "Bachelor", which are taught in distance learning. These are Informatics and Computer Science, Business Administration and Management, Public Administration and Management, International Economic Relations and Finance and Accounting.

Specialty "Choreography" of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" was the organizer and host of an additional training course on the topic "Managers of Ensembles for Authentic Folklore", which was held last week. Its participants are lovers of folk dances from all over Bulgaria. They got acquainted with the specifics of Bulgarian dance folklore, the main stages in the organization of rehearsals of a group for authentic folklore, the possibilities for stage adaptation of folklore parts related to the recreation of traditional rites and customs, as well as with the stylistic features of local folklore.

More than 100 articles will be presented today and tomorrow by scientists, researchers, doctoral and university students from seven countries during the XXI Summer Scientific Session of the Faculty of Law at Varna Free University.

Lecturers and experts from the International Taraz Innovative Institute in Kazakhstan are visiting Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Issues related to the cooperation between the two universities, the work on the Erasmus + programme and various educational programmes were discussed.

Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" hosts a creative discussion on the problems of the Black Sea coast. The event is organised by the Union of Architects in Bulgaria with the support of the Faculty of Architecture of the University. The programme includes reports on current topics for the urbanization of coastal areas. The meeting will be attended by members of UBA and lecturers from the Department of Architecture and Urbanism. The two organizations have long-term, sustainable and working cooperation. The creative discussion was opened by Assoc. Prof. Eng. Rositsa Petkova – Slipets, PhD - Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
